4Based Subscriptions, Pricing & Offer Design Guide

How to structure 4Based subscriptions, pricing and offers around audience fit, recurring value, conversion and retention.

Last updated September 14, 2026

Pricing on 4Based is not just a number on a profile. It defines the entry point into the creator offer and has to work together with content depth, paid extras, acquisition cost and retention.

Start with the offer, not the competitor price

List what recurring access actually includes: posting frequency, archives, interaction, live features, discounts or other benefits that are genuinely part of the offer. Then price that package.

Copying another creator only works if audience, content depth, posting frequency and brand position are also the same — which is rarely true.

Understand the role of recurring access

A subscription should create a reason to stay beyond the first payment. One-off purchases can increase revenue, but they should not make the recurring layer feel empty.

For 4Based, the official creator guide says many creators choose subscription prices between $5 and $15 and also discusses a configurable message price. Check the creator dashboard before publishing hard numbers because individual offers and platform controls can change.

Use free access strategically where available

Platforms that support following, previews or public discovery can use that layer to reduce uncertainty before purchase. Free access should explain the creator proposition rather than reproduce the entire paid experience.

Where 4Based does not offer a meaningful free-follow layer, the external profile, public previews and discovery pages have to do more of that pre-purchase work.

Discounts need an objective

Use a promotion to solve a specific problem: acquire a first cohort, reactivate lapsed fans or test price sensitivity. Permanent discounting teaches users to wait for the next offer.

Record the original price, promotional price, acquisition source and renewal behavior so the creator can tell whether a discount produced valuable fans or only temporary volume.

Measure conversion and retention together

A lower price may raise first-time conversion while reducing revenue per fan. A higher price may reduce signups while improving audience fit. Neither result is good or bad without retention and repeat-purchase context.

Compare new-subscriber conversion, renewal, repeat purchases and support workload over a meaningful period. Avoid making pricing decisions from a single busy day.

Build a pricing review rhythm

Review pricing when the content promise changes, the creator enters a new niche, workload changes materially or data shows sustained conversion/retention issues. Do not change price simply because another creator did.

Keep old and new offer definitions documented so assistants, promotion pages and public listings do not advertise conflicting information.
